Islam Khan ki Masjid Dhaka

The mosque is situated in Sayid Aulad 1-lasan Lane, formerly called Ashiq Jamadar Lane, and it can be approached from Islampur Road. According to the local tradition, it was built by Islam Khan, the first Mughal Governor of Dhaka. It is a three-domed mosque, with its central dome much bigger than others. The facade and the corner minars are undecorated. The doorways are simple arched entrances without any attempt for embellishment. This simplicity of the mosque speaks of its pre-Shaista Khani style. Recently it has been extensively repaired.
