Bibi Mehar’s Mosque

Bibi Mehar’s Mosque Dhaka

A little way south-east of this Gate is a single-domed square mosque, the dome of which, having fallen, is renewed with a flat roof. According to the inscription, hung up over the central doorway, it was built by Bibi Mehar, some relative of Ghulam Muhammad, in 1230A. H. (A.D. 1814). The mosque is of the usual type, having three small doorways on the east, and three small mihrabs on the west.
